Plant Chamomile in Spring for Homegrown Tea

Early spring is the perfect time to add chamomile to the kitchen garden, seeds and starts are now available at your local nursery. I love harvesting these joyful flowers all summer long, I give them a good wash and throw them in my dehydrator then into a mason jar to store. Through the winter months, I love being able to enjoy a homegrown cup of chamomile tea whenever I’m feeling under the weather. Chamomile tea certainly has great benefits to our health, but it also has great benefits to the garden. Its’ an excellent companion plant for many of my veggies, and also beacons in pollinators and other beneficial insects. This is my chamomile tea from garden to kitchen.
